Dating Advice About Masculine Versus Feminine Energy

Did you know that you were born with both masculine and feminine qualities? The traditional view is that men are masculine and women are feminine. Popular culture on the other hand would like you to believe that male and female are born equal. As a Dating Coach I deal with this rather too often.

At conception that is 100% true. The brain function between the male and female embryo is exactly the same. At 8 weeks however, the male foetus is flooded with testosterone that destroys all communication pathways between the left side of the brain (responsible for processing language) and the right side of the brain (where emotion is processed). The female foetus’ neural pathways remain in-tact and develop into an intricate highway of neural connections. Adding weight to the reason why women love communicating and sharing their feelings and why they are so good at it too!

We are all born with both masculine and feminine traits. Neither of these energies is superior to the other. It is important to embrace the natural strength you possess and the predominantly feminine or masculine energy that you were born with. This is what makes you unique.

How does your dominant energy change over time?

Enter life. Things happen. At some point you are taught these unique combinations of traits you possess aren’t acceptable to some person or a particular situation. Or you are rewarded for being more dominant in another area of your life. Perhaps you were shamed as a child for showing your emotions and quickly learned to subdue those feelings.

Far too often I meet highly successful women who have allowed their masculine energy to go into overdrive. Socially, you are cheered on for being independent and not having to rely on anyone else. As a career woman you are rewarded financially for taking charge, making decisions and getting the job done.

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with being a successful single woman. In fact, most men love meeting a confident, independent woman who can take care of herself. What I am saying is that these women complain to me that men are intimidated by them and run the other way.

The truth of the matter is that men do not respond favourably to masculine energy in a romantic environment. It is easy for a guy to find that type of connection from his work colleagues or friends. In his love life, he is looking to connect on a deeper level. This connection occurs more naturally when the other person is oozing feminine energy.

I am happy to hear from you if you do not agree with me:

Men, please correct me if I’m wrong: He is looking for a safe place to land at the end of a hard day’s work. He is looking for a place where he can share his thoughts without being criticised. He is looking for someone who accepts him as he is and who supports his dreams and aspirations.

Women are just as likely to be more attracted to a man that radiates masculinity. Am I wrong ladies? What is the most common character trait women are looking for in a man? I can tell you from my matchmaking days that it is without a doubt: Confidence. A man that takes the lead.

I am not saying you need to change who you fundamentally are, but if you want to be successful in love, it is important to reconnect with your true dominant energy. The process actually involves becoming more of who you really are. It’s about finding the courage to be authentic again.
