It’s okay not to be okay sometimes

So it’s that time of the year right, when we take stock of where we are, and how far we’ve come… And I think for many of us like this year has thrown us a bit of a curveball right, and that’s okay too, because guess what? 

It’s only going to get better from here on! 

And today I want to talk to  you about you know what it’s like when life slows down, and we get real with ourselves and that it’s really okay to not be okay with what’s happening… Because most of the time, life is so busy and we keep busy and we’re busy with hobbies and interests and work – we’re all overworked…  

So that we don’t have to deal with not being okay. And I want to give you permission today, to be okay with not being okay. Because sometimes – and it’s always necessary to feel our feelings, but sometimes it’s necessary to feel into not being okay – so that we can ask ourselves a very important 

question. Which is: “What do I need to feel better?  

Instead of just shutting down to our feelings and overworking and overplaying, and over-drinking and overeating… Why not rather ask myself: “What do I need to feel better?”  And then give that to myself. 

Because being single it isn’t always okay. I’m not saying there’s something wrong with being single, like we can choose to be single too, but I’m saying we were designed for connection, we were 

designed for love and intimacy and that’s where we thrive. And if not having that and not being 

okay with that and you want more – that’s okay too.  

So my question to you today is – if you let the walls down, and you let go of this sort of persona of “I’ve got everything handled” – and you just put your hand on your hearts and you’re just honest with yourself… 

What does it really feel like for you to be single?

And sometimes that’s such a hard question. But what is that for you andhow does feeling that feeling help you to step into what it is that you need to feel better?
